My Story

I'm 15 — and I know exactly what it feels like to start from zero.

Namaste! I'm Rajat Katariya, also known as TheRaKaLive, a 15-year-old aspiring playback singer from Dwarka, New Delhi. I began learning Indian Classical Music at age 12 under professional mentorship — and since then, music has become the most important thing in my life.

I was trained under respected Sachin Valmiki Ji, made it to the 4th Round of Sony TV's Superstar Singer, became Runner-Up at T-Series Talent Hunt, and have won several school competitions. Now, for the very first time, I want to share what I've learned — with young children who are just beginning.

Correct breathing, posture, voice placement. All 7 Swaras (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni). Basic Alankars and warm-ups.

Month 3–4 · Raga Awareness

Introduction to 2–3 beginner Ragas. Understanding Aaroha-Avaroha. Developing a sharp ear for sur (pitch accuracy).

Month 5–6 · Riyaz & Expression

Building the daily riyaz habit. Simple Bandishes and Bhajans. Singing full compositions with confidence.

Ongoing · Performance Readiness

School competition prep. Building stage confidence, consistency, and musical personality.

Yes — for vocal training, a stable connection and quiet room is all you need. I correct pitch and technique in real time on video. Most professional vocal coaches worldwide now train students online with excellent results. The key is consistency, not physical presence.

What is the payment policy?

After the free demo, if you'd like to continue, ₹2,500 is paid in advance at the start of each month via UPI/bank transfer. I'm always open to a conversation if something comes up — just communicate early.

What parents really want to know.

What age group is this for?

Children up to 14 years of age. The curriculum is paced for young, beginner learners. Very young children under 6 may be considered case by case.

My child is 6–7 years old. Is it too early?

Starting early is a massive advantage in classical music. Sessions are structured to be engaging, not boring — musical play with discipline. Age 6+ is ideal.

Does my child need any prior experience or instrument?

Absolutely not. Zero experience, zero equipment to start. A free tanpura app on mobile is all we'll need in the beginning.

Will my child make real, visible progress?

Within 3 months of consistent riyaz, your child will sing all 7 Swaras with good pitch and complete basic Alankars fluently. I share fortnightly parent updates so you always know exactly where your child stands.

How do I know online classes are safe?

All classes are on Zoom or Google Meet. Parents are welcome — and encouraged — to be present in the room. No sessions are recorded without consent. Parental involvement is part of the learning.

What if we miss a session?

Genuine absences (illness, exams, family events) — I'll try to accommodate a makeup session within the same week. Consistency is the soul of classical music, but life happens. I will always be flexible and communicative.

You're teaching for the first time — is that a concern?

I tell you this upfront because I believe in honesty. Yes, it's my first batch. But I have 3+ years of structured classical training. Because I genuinely care about this first batch, I'll put in 10x more effort than any bored veteran teacher. That's a real promise — hold me to it.

Where exactly are offline classes held?

Shyam Vihar Phase-II, Dwarka, New Delhi. The exact address is shared after registration and confirmation. It's a quiet, home-based learning space.
